TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor
POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for supervising maintenance of production equipment, machinery, repairs, and systems to ensure that all the machinery is functioning properly to meet production requirements. Additionally, it requires that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner. Such as total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance role. Supervising employees a plus.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of machines and facilities operations.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting regular inspections and ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all areas in both facilities.
- Leading a team of subordinates and delegating work areas to them.
- Complying with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA and EPA) while carrying out maintenance functions.
- Responsible for following up with all hazardous procedures regarding oil, paint, rags, bulbs etc.
- Develop maintenance procedures and processes to maintain and maximize effectiveness of maintenance services.
- Provides guidance and share knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and machining and fabrication.
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and evaluate maintenance needed.
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates.
- Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts.
- Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
- Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Keeping a record of all day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in a facility.
- Control and monitor parts inventory.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, processes support and improve operational performance.
- Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department.
- Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Manage and upkeep of the storeroom supplies.
- Manages activity of repair and maintenance goods and services.
- Assist Purchasing Agent the reconciliation of invoice discrepancies.
- Be flexible with schedule and hours, at times the business will require working overtime and weekends.
TRAINING:
- On the job.
- Successfully completed or on-the-job training on OSHA and EPA standards
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training.
AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING:
- This position supervises all employees of the department and is accountable for upholding the quality and the standards of the organization.
