We are seeking a Software Developer - SME with a strong background in Full Stack development to join our dynamic team in Crystal City, VA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in modern front-end and back-end development, a solid understanding of database systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions. This position is hybrid with the expectation being 3-4 days in office and 1-2 days remote per week.

Job Description:

As a Software Developer - SME, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for our defense and government clients. This position requires a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to tackle complex challenges while working with cutting-edge analytic and AI/ML technologies.

Job Duties

Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Create modern, user-friendly front-end applications using Streamlit or similar technologies.
• Utilize web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to enhance user experience.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between systems.
• Build and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python and related frameworks.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain version control using Git to streamline collaboration and code management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Ensure all developed solutions meet the highest security and quality standards.
• Contribute to all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC), from concept and design to testing and deployment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in a Software Development role.
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code.
• Demonstrated Reggo experience for policy-based access control and authorization.
• Essential proficiency in Open Policy Agent (OPA) for defining and enforcing policies, along with familiarity with Trino for distributed SQL processing (OPA is a mission critical skill).
• Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs), Access Control Compliance Matrices (ACCMs), and Distributed Information Assurance Solutions (DIAS).
• Advanced skills in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation tasks.
• A strong background in Big Data technologies and methodologies for handling and processing large datasets.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with designing and maintaining scalable backend solutions using Python frameworks.
• Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Proficiency in implementing and maintaining version control using Git.
• Hands-on experience with Full Stack development and understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
