Essential Job Duties
This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the WISE program by managing, supporting, and facilitating the successful planning and execution of WISE-related activities.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assist with strategic planning and maintain records
  • Promote and attend WISE Village events and programs, including managing social media.
  • Establish and maintain key collaborations across the NC State community, including faculty and staff in STEM disciplines, units within the Division of Academic & Student Affairs, and campus partners in areas designed to help retain our students at the University and in the STEM field
  • Meet regularly with the WISE Director
  • Survey and assess student programming experiences and needs within WISE, including large and small-scale events
  • Participation in monthly Operating Counsel meetings
  • Designing and implementing new high-impact experiences relating to STEM

Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 20 hours per week - Work hours may vary based on program needs and event schedules. Flexibility is required.

Minimum Experience/Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or some college coursework preferred.

  • Relevant experience in program coordination, administrative support, or student engagement
  • Experience in planning and executing events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing social media for outreach and engagement
  • Calendar management and recordkeeping
  • Ability to work independently, and meet regularly with leadership
