Description

BlueHalo, an AV Company, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a specific role ensuring compliance with industry standards, supporting the team and the company in achieving financial goals.

The Senior Accountant assists the controller in all aspects of month end closing procedures including advanced journal entries, rev rec, complex reconciliations and preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting package. The Senior Accountant provides financial reports and analysis to leadership as requested and appropriate.

Additionally, you will serve as a local contact for all financial-related questions. It is required for this individual to provide quality information on a timely basis, maintain a working knowledge of accounting regulatory requirements and guidelines and assist leadership with both routine processes and special projects.

The Senior Accountant should work well under direct and indirect supervision, planning and arranging work independently according to deadlines and should effectively communicate all updated priorities, challenges and resource needs.

Primary Responsibilities Include:



  • Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Assists with completing all revenue billings.
  • Support the Controller in managing the revenue recognition process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Optimize accounting processes and procedures as well as SOX control compliance to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
  • Is prepared and able to answer questions related to payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, and accounting to be able to direct team members to other System resources as needed.
  • Compiles and performs initial review of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Compiles financial and/or statistical data and performs analytical analysis as requested by Leadership.
  • Assists in gathering data for budget and flux developments.
  • Assists in gathering data related to the year-end financial audit, cost report and various tax filings.
  • Assists in gathering data for annual reports including disclosures and surveys as directed by Leadership.
  • Works with other team-members, as requested, on special projects and analysis to strengthen the accuracy of the financials.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Accounting or related field.
  • 3-5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in other financial software and tools.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Deltek CostPoint, FloQast and Government applications.
  • Excellent interactive, communication and people skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000

The BlueHalo, an AV Company pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
