Machine Operator Trainee

Pay & Schedule

• $19.25/hr
• 2nd Shift

As a Machine Operator Trainee, your responsibilities will include:

• Learning to set up and operate Multi-spindle, Davenport, and Acme machines, using intricate tooling for a wide range of operations
• Assisting in devising methods for machining new and challenging jobs
• Regrinding special recess tools and other high-speed or carbide tooling
• Diagnosing and correcting problems efficiently
• Making programming and job improvements
• Maintaining acceptable production rates per process instructions
• Providing instruction and support to other team members
• Performing routine maintenance on machines as assigned
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assisting in other functional areas of machining as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior manufacturing experience helpful but not required
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages
