Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Scientist:

Provide staff level technical support for Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, Remediation projects, and Tank permitting, inspection, and compliance projects in Southern California.
Field duties include performing soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling prepare detailed soil/well boring logs, inspect and maintain in-situ remediation equipment, inspect hazardous waste storage tanks, and oversee subcontractor activity.
Office duties include preparing concise, detailed, and accurate data tables, figures, draft work plans, sampling and analysis plans, quality assurance/quality control plans, site-specific health and safety plans, permits, and work-performed reports, and maintaining project files and client-specific databases.
Work with and at the direction of a multi-disciplinary team of expert engineers, geologists, industrial hygienists, environmental scientists, and related professionals.
Actively engage in managing site safety through developing job hazard analyses, performing site safety inspections, and contributing "good catches" in support of best practice.
Actively develop your own career growth through cross-training, vocational training, professional accreditations, and self-study.

What we're looking for:

BS degree in civil engineering, geology, or related science.
Current 40-Hour HazWoper Certification
2+ years relevant experience including soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling.
Experience drafting detailed data tables and work-performed reports.
Detail-oriented, focused professional, with strong organization, analytical, technical writing skills demonstrating focus, clarity, and accuracy.
Excellent safety awareness and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
Team-oriented but able to work independently.
Interest and commitment to cross-training and professional development.
A valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
