As a Security Officer - Educational Institution - Bike Patrol - Full Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will play an important role in helping to create a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include regularly patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing assistance to anyone in need. You will be expected to communicate clearly and offer exceptional customer service, supporting a positive atmosphere throughout the campus. Pay Rate: $17.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the educational environment in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Monitor for unusual activity or conditions during patrols and report findings to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Assist with access control by observing entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or providing directions to visitors as needed.
• Support the enforcement of campus policies and protocols, providing information or guidance to students, staff, and visitors when requested.
• Complete incident and daily activity reports accurately and promptly, delivering documentation to the appropriate parties.
• Participate in emergency response procedures, including evacuations or lockdowns, as directed by Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
