As a Armed Security Officer - Financial Site in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution location, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and employees, helping to foster a welcoming and secure environment. In this armed and driving-required post, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and assist with access control while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Your presence at the front desk will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a professional atmosphere. You will leverage your experience and training to respond promptly to any security-related situations, always maintaining composure and integrity. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials for visitors and employees as required.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as directed by site management.
• Assist with the implementation of emergency response activities, such as evacuations or lockdowns, when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity at the front desk through attentive presence and adherence to procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driving policy requirements.
