Job Title:
Electronic Lab Technician II What You'll Do: As an Electronic Lab Technician II, you will take on a more advanced role in supporting the research, development, and testing of electronic systems and components. You will work closely with engineers and scientists to conduct experiments, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the design and improvement of electronic devices. Functions: Lead the setup, execution, and analysis of experiments and tests to evaluate electronic components and systems. Assist in the design and development of electronic prototypes and devices, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and assembly. Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of electronic equipment and systems, identifying root causes of issues and implementing solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of electronic components into larger systems or products. Develop and maintain test fixtures and procedures to support ongoing testing and validation activities. Provide technical guidance and training to junior lab technicians and interns. Contribute to the documentation of design specifications, test procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Required Qualifications: Associate degree or technical certificate in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field. 3-6 years of experience in a laboratory or technical environment, with a focus on electronics. Proficiency in electronic test equipment and instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers. Strong understanding of electronic principles, circuits, and components. Experience with electronic design tools and software, such as schematic capture and PCB layout software. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment. Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field. Experience with RF electronics, microwave systems, or high-frequency circuits. Knowledge of programming languages for embedded systems (e.g., C, Python). Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electronic design and testing. Certification in electronics or related field (e.g., IPC certification, RF Technician certification). ITAR location, all workers must be US persons |
