Quality Engineer - Drive Innovation and Excellence in Manufacturing

What You'll Do



  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed corporate launch, quality, warranty, and delivery standards.
  • Lead cross-functional decision-making with company and supplier leadership to resolve open issues.
  • Serve as the principal resource for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions in emergency supplier situations.
  • Drive assessments and validate manufacturing feasibility at supplier sites.
  • Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Ensure adherence to company quality standards (Q1) and implement corrective actions to prevent vehicle losses.
  • Leverage data, metrics, and business insights to drive improved sourcing and long-term supplier quality.

What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following manufacturing processes: casting, machining, forging, stamping, welding, molding, brazing, sintering, assembly processes, automation programming, painting, or chroming
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and quality management systems
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to lead teams through resolution and process improvement
