About this opportunity:
Technical Trainers are responsible for the development of our front-line workforce at the Smart Factory. But trainers aren't just training; they facilitate expertise sharing, cross-functional communication, safety, and problem-solving to increase simplification, efficiency, and effectiveness. This role demands a high level of communication, leadership, training expertise, technical knowledge, and commitment to safety and compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Trainers are assigned to one of three functional areas: Surface Mount Assembly (SMA), Final Assembly (FA), or Warehouse (WH). This specific role is for Surface Mount Assembly (SMA), working Tue - Fri, 8a - 6:30p.
What you will do:
* Provide specific and general training to operators in assigned functional area
* Train, coach, and mentor operators to enhance capabilities and ensure continuous process improvement
* Develop training solutions in consultation with supervisors, production technology engineers, quality leads, operations management, and Learning Experience Designers
* Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate the skills and expertise of operational employees
* Ensure programs and processes comply with industry best practices, including ISO competence standards and Ericsson Environmental Health & Occupational Safety requirements
* Maintain training plans, content accuracy, and reporting using the Learning Management System; oversee training schedules, compliance records, online courses, learning paths, and credentials
* Coordinate and communicate training schedules with stakeholders, operations leadership, production planners, and the training team
* Maintain training equipment, including laptops and any specialized tools or materials related to the functional area
* Serve as the voice of the operator during work instruction reviews to validate documentation supports end-user needs
* Facilitate cross-functional communication and safety compliance readiness to drive operational excellence
* Provide expert assistance to production teams when available, without compromising primary responsibilities
The skills you bring:
* High school diploma
* Strong facilitation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Ability to lead, coach, and motivate others
* Commitment to high-quality work
* Strong analytical problem-solving skills
* Ability to read and interpret equipment, operational work instructions, and process maps
* Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft applications and basic Learning Management System (LMS) administration
* Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic, high-tech manufacturing environments
* Flexibility to work periodic shift hours when required
* Experience working in cross-functional groups with diverse technical, experiential, and personal backgrounds
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* For WH trainers, the ability to become certified as a forklift trainer is a must
Ideal Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in the functional area for which the trainer will provide instruction
* Experience presenting technical information and/or training others
* Demonstrated confidence and professionalism in high-visibility training roles
* Hands-on experience using hardware, tools, instruments, and methods relevant to the functional area
* Experience with environmental and safety compliance, ISO competence management, and training governance requirements
* Familiarity with objective-based training theory and functional assessment settings is a plus

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
