DRIVER

TRANSPORTATION

FULL TIME - NON EXEMPT

General Summary: Work involves operating Thrive vans seating approximately 10-15 people, to transport passengers to prearranged destinations, such as to and from Thrive locations.

Schedule: Mon-Fri

Location: Warwick, RI

Salary: Starts at $20/hr, depending on experience.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Perform safe and on time transportation of clients in all types of traffic and climatic conditions.
  • Operate and drives vehicles in strict accordance with rules of the road.
  • Inspect general operating condition of vehicles daily and reports unsafe conditions and any damage to lead driver as well as steps defined in policy and procedure.
  • Maintain vehicle operating records.
  • Report any traffic violations, vehicle breakdowns, interruptions in service or accidents to lead driver and scheduler.
  • Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
  • Act as program aid as necessary.
  • Perform shipping/receiving as necessary.
  • Provide billing and incident documentation as required and consistent with Thrive standards.
  • Adhere to uniform requirements.
  • Review e-mail account daily for new messages.
  • Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive's Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.


Qualifications

Education, Experience and Competencies:




  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) to six (6) months' related experience required
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
  • Must have a good driving record (no more than 3 moving violations within a 3 year period)



Certifications, Licenses Requirements:




  • Valid Chauffeur's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required. Meet certification and training requirements of transportation contract.

All employees are considered benefit eligible if their schedule is 20 hours per week or more. Time-off balances are pro-rated for part-time employees.

DRIVER reports directly to Transportation Supervisor and will be supervised according to Thrive Behavioral Health Supervision Policy.
