The Materials management Intern will provide support to the Demand and Supply Planning teams by assisting with forecasting, inventory management, supply chain optimization, and reporting/analytics. This role is designed to give hands-on experience in core supply chain processes while contributing meaningful insights that support customer service, operational efficiency, and business decision-making.



Responsibilities:



  • Gain exposure to ERP/MRP, demand planning, and advanced analytics tools through day-to-day standard work.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages/excess, and recommend adjustments
  • Create and update demand forecasts using historical data, customer inputs, and market trends.
  • Maintain planning parameters (safety stock, reorder point quantities, lot sizes, forecast, lead-times, etc.)
  • Create, generate, and distribute planning reports and dashboards to provide visibility into KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory turns
  • Lead continuous improvement by analyzing processes and policies, leveraging data to identify gaps, and implementing better solutions and processes



Qualifications:



  • Student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management, or other related degree.
  • Student must be Junior or Senior academic standing.
  • Eager to learn, take initiative and collaborate.
  • Familiarity with an ERP system preferred.
  • Proficient working within Excel and MS Office Suite applications.
