GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The role of a sales Administrator is to manage incoming customer inquiries and support the outside sales force with daily sales administration activities. This includes accurately processing a high volume of orders. Processing invoices for all sales transactions, setting pricing, and verifying contracts to ensure they are up to date. The Administrator works directly with the customer on bookings and entry and has a wide latitude of communications with the Vice President and internal staff. This position will perform a wide range of inside sales duties related to the daily operations of the sales department. The sales administrator is often the final point of contact for prices, delivery dates, and customer expedites, and may manage several small customers. They liaise with other departments, collect large past due accounts, and research new product offerings.
REQUIREMENTS:
College degree or equivalent experience in related field
3-5 years of sales or general business experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills- both verbal and written
Demonstrated experience with analysis and problem solving
Ability to interact effectively with customers, providing a high level of customer service.
Eligible to work in an ITAR Environment
Intermediate computer skills Excel, email, SAP
Must maintain a high degree of professional presence
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Executes assigned customer service tasks following company standard policies and procedures.
Applies department knowledge and supports efforts, under direct supervision, to meet customer order entry.
Performs administrative duties, including organization of supporting documents necessary for the order process, quoting, cancellations, scheduling and reporting. Will manage order processing in SAP and generate reports as needed.
Under supervision, acts as customer contact to include, but not limited to, pricing confirmation and logistics scheduling. High volume email communication with the customer and sales team.
Will be trained to review terms and conditions, then follow through with customers, production and outside sales team.
Performs wide variety of administrative support as needed to the Sales team such as filing, scanning, packaging etc.
Provides customer service and support with accuracy and professionalism.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
