JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Financial Analyst II to work as part of a team in service of the mission and vision of the Department of Emergency Medicine.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Monitor budget expenditures and prepare written reports and analyses to unit management setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
  • Prepare and coordinate distribution of various financial reports and analyses for senior management and external agencies to include financial analysis of individual unit operations.
  • Maintain liaison with business unit financial managers and administrative staff in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, to provide information and to resolve problems concerning variances from approved budget
  • Approve and manage department invoicing process
  • Perform month-end reconciliation and complete month-end journal entries
  • Review cost centers monthly for variances and report these variances to management
  • Extract data from multiple sources and compile data for both internal and external reporting, including clinician performance dashboards
  • Manage the faculty processes around effort, compensation, and clinical commitments
  • Demonstrate and maintain a high level of organization, professionalism and teamwork.
  • Provide back-up support and coverage to the department administrative team.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.



JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS



  • Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.
  • Work requires four years experience in financial management, cost accounting or a field directly related to specialized area of assignment.
