Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a Human Services Associate to work in our integrated Adult Behavioral Health services program for adults with serious mental health and/or addiction issues. In this position you will perform gender specific duties with male clients including, but not limited to: collecting urine analysis (UA) samples; monitoring inventory of urine samples supplied, reordering supplies as needed, visually monitoring the collection of UA samples, and ensuring chain of custody for specimen(s) is followed and samples are processed according to internal protocols. You must understand confidentiality rules and 42 CFR in addition to having a clear understanding of the expectations for compliance in this area. Based on duties, this is a gender-specific position.

The Qualifications:

  • An associate's degree in a human services related field.

OR

  • One year work/relevant experience AND two years of post-high school education.

OR

  • A high school diploma AND three years work/relevant experience in human services related field.

OR

  • Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.

Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.

The Candidate:

As a successful candidate you should have demonstrated accuracy & integrity, and be an honest, dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, Additional requirements include knowledge of Universal Precautions, understanding mental health assessment, treatment, and service terminology, basic computer skills including keyboarding/data entry and Excel, and the ability to work under moderate supervision. You must also have excellent personal boundaries, and the ability to adhere to strict timelines.
