Yamhill County has one regular, full-time position for a Human Services Specialist I (QMHA) to provide skills training and case management services to adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring medical issues or physical disabilities in a licensed residential program. This position works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver individualized, person-centered services and supports to program residents at the facility and in the community. Duties include implementing behavioral health service plans, planning & facilitating group skills training activities, offering individual skills training, acting as a resource to facility staff, providing complex interventions, offering overall structure and behavioral health support, and documenting services in an electronic health record. Regular schedule will be four 10-hour shifts (8am-6:30pm) with at least one weekend day included. For more information, please see the attached job description.

The Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a human services related field is required.
OR
- A combination of at least one years' work experience AND two years' post-secondary education.
OR
- A high school diploma/GED AND three years' work experience in human services.
- Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.
- Must meet eligibility to become credentialed as a QMHA through the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).

The successful candidate will be conscientious and collaborative with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong organizational & time management skills. Must be dependable and detail-oriented, interact professionally and respectfully with others, be responsive to requests, view situations holistically, and support person-centered and trauma informed services. Must demonstrate willingness and ability to adhere to applicable policies, and be open to feedback, learning and growth. Other essential characteristics and skills include proficiency in general keyboarding and computer use, ability to work effectively in a busy team environment, an understanding of mental health assessment and service terminology, skill in applying concepts and techniques related to community mental health services, and ability to document behavioral health services accurately and effectively.
