SUMMARY

Position is responsible for the coordination of Montgomery County Sheriff vehicle fleet management. As Fleet Coordinator, employee is tasked with the management and operations of the Sheriff's office fleet. Employee will work with contracted vendors to provide maintenance and repairs as needed. This employee will address fleet needs across the various divisions and assist with policy associated with fleet utilization.

Position covered by a collective bargaining agreement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates maintenance and repairs of Sheriff vehicles.
  • Keeps accurate records on fleet maintenance and repair schedule.
  • Regularly checks vehicles fluid levels, lighting, tires (including spare), wiper blades.
  • Communicates with division commanders regarding vehicles in service/out of service.
  • Ensures vehicle regulatory compliance.
  • Assists with fleet budget preparation.
  • Processes invoices from fleet repairs and maintenance.
  • Assists purchase transfer and salvage of fleet vehicles.
  • Support inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts.

  • CDL or the ability to obtain CDL within 1 year of hire.
