Job Summary

The VDC Coordinator I assists with the creation, coordination, and maintenance of 3D models and project documentation for construction projects. This entry-level position supports the design and preconstruction process by providing accurate modeling, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring project information is consistent across platforms.


Essential Duties

  • Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models of mechanical, plumbing, and other building systems.

  • Assist project teams with model setup, updates, and coordination tasks.

  • Support clash detection efforts and help resolve coordination issues with trade partners.

  • Generate and maintain drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents from models.

  • Provide VDC support during preconstruction, fabrication, and installation phases.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining VDC standards and workflows across projects.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure models reflect design intent and field conditions.

  • Stay current with VDC technology trends and software updates (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD).


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in construction, BIM/VDC, or drafting.

  • Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Eagerness to learn, problem-solve, and grow within VDC and construction technology.
