Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced administrative specialist to join our dynamic team. This position supports the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute's (WAI) Director and the WAI Administrator in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). This position will function as a key member of the WAI Administrator's team and work directly on strategic priorities of the Institute. Under the direction of the WAI Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for professional-level work impacting a variety of administrative areas including, but not limited to, operations, logistics, scheduling, finance, procurement, equipment and asset tracking, creating agendas, scribing notes for meetings, creating internal communications, event planning and human resource tasks. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to juggle several duties, prioritize, pay attention to detail, communicate well and follow tasks through to completion.

These values inform WAI efforts to lead innovative, impactful programs with partners both in and outside SMPH and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. WAI goals are focused on helping people living with or at risk for Alzheimer's disease or other dementia, their caregivers, and the health professionals working to support them. Through research initiatives, statewide memory clinic development, education and public health programs focused on both the clinician and caregiver, we identify and provide strategies to reduce dementia risk and offer access to effective care. WAI scientists and program leaders coordinate research-based education and events for caregivers and community members throughout Wisconsin and across the nation. Compensation:The starting salary for the position is $60,000; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
