Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is recruiting forAdvanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography Fellow(s) atNYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx (NCB) for the July 2026 to June 2027 academic year. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation withAlbert Einstein College of Medicine(AECOM) to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. The Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound (AEMUS) Fellowship is a one-year, full-time academic and clinical training program housed within a high-volume, urban Level 1 academic emergency department.This fellowship is designed to develop future leaders in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and prepare fellows to sit for and pass the Focused Practice Designation (FPD) in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography, administered by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). - Achieve mastery in image acquisition and interpretation across the full spectrum of emergency ultrasound, including advanced modalities, such as resuscitative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
- Advance a clinically relevant regional anesthesia practice within the ED, including Pericapsular Nerve Group (PENG) blocks for hip fractures and Serratus Anterior Plane Blocks (SAPB) for rib fractures, with opportunities for clinical research and protocol development.
- Develop skills in ultrasound program administration, including quality assurance, workflow optimization, credentialing, and system-wide integration.
- Cultivate excellence in medical education and academic scholarship, with structured mentorship and opportunities to present at national meetings.
- Participate in international POCUS education and global health collaborations, including the Jamaican Handheld Ultrasound Project and initiatives in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
- The Ultrasound Fellowship was established in 2019, accredited by the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council (https://eufacouncil.org/about-accreditation/accredited-programs/), and currently is training its 10th Fellow.
- Clinical time will function as an Emergency Medicine Attending and will work across two diverse campuses: Jacobi Medical Center and NCB.

- Practice at a high-acuity, high-volume ACS Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Burn Center, and STEMI/PCI center.

- Faculty appointments and teaching responsibilities at the AECOM.
- Affiliated with the AECOM, Jacobi EM is a main teaching site for one of the premiere Emergency Medicine residency training programs in the country, with 84 total EM residents over 4 years.
- Jacobi EM is responsible for running Jacobi's regional snake-bite center and a multi-person hyperbaric treatment facility that treat elective and emergency cases.
- The Department has active programs in ultrasound, simulation, hyperbarics, toxicology/addiction care, public health andadvocacy, global health, education, and research.
- Successful candidates will be highly committed to excellence in patient care, education, and promoting scholarship to enhance the mission of the Department.

Qualifications
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- NYS Medical License
Wages and Benefits include: Annual Base Salary: $151,923*
