Salary: $65,000-$75,000

Position Summary: The Compliance Specialist supports the implementation and daily operations of the agency's Compliance program. This role executes the activities that ensure the agency operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, good business practices, and company documented procedures. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and collaborative - able to manage multiple priorities, balance independent work with team engagement, and contribute to a culture of compliance. Success in this role requires strong project management skills, clear communication, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:



  • Support the implementation of compliance activities in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct audits and monitoring reviews to assess and ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures within the agency.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain compliance data, prepare reports and visual tools that support departmental and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide guidance on compliance-related matters and facilitate communication to enhance overall compliance awareness.
  • Stay current with changes in healthcare and human services laws and regulations, assessing potential impacts on agency practices.
  • Assist with developing and delivering compliance training programs for staff.
  • Investigate and address reported compliance concerns, working closely with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of compliance activities, reports, and related records.
  • Support the Compliance Department during inspections and audits.
  • Participate in developing and enhancing policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement in compliance efforts.
  • Provide administrative and project support with the Compliance Committee functions and attend other committee meetings as needed.
  • In-person collaboration is an essential function of the role.
  • Perform other administrative duties that support specific agency departments.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare compliance or related regulatory/operations /project management role.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Privacy, and Medicaid.
  • Proficiency in data entry, analysis, and reporting tools, with the ability to transform complex data into clear, compelling stories that support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of Local, State, and Federal laws and regulations about managed care, integrated care, and/or healthcare services.
