Nature and Scope

The Production Facilities Technician III reports to the Maintenance and Engineering Department. The ideal candidate must be able to perform repairs and preventive maintenance activities on production equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, the ideal candidate must be able to perform each essential duty listed below satisfactorily. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

  • Maintain, service, troubleshoot - autoclaves, air compressors, HVAC, cleanrooms, and related piping, plumbing, electrical services, ductwork and structural surroundings.

  • Performing equipment corrective and preventive maintenance.

  • Maintains and troubleshoots Production Equipment.

  • Performs and documents all activities as outlined in SOP and cGMP.

  • Qualify for and maintain Train the Trainer status to support new hire and junior personnel training.

  • Maintain 100% Training compliance.

  • Identification/Correct and Report unsafe behaviors or equipment.

  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required; Vocational or trade school certification accepted.

  • 3 years' relevant experience in all the above responsibilities i.e. (read elec. schematics, use of DVM, all hand and power tools knowledge of programming and troubleshooting PLC's), required.

  • Knowledge of sterile environment required.

  • Working knowledge of 120V- 208V AC/ 3-24VDC, troubleshooting down to electronic components preferred.

  • Working knowledge of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) required.

  • Well versed in safety programs (e.g. Lock out / Tag out).

  • Must be able to read documents in Standard English such as Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance schedules and operating manuals.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision required.

  • Basic Microsoft Office and Windows skills required.

  • Must be flexible to work on multiple shifts and holidays. This position is part of a multi-shift operation and may require assignment to a regular off shift and/or weekends schedule.

Physical Environment and Requirements

  • Employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Physically able to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves. PPE and Respirators are essential for the health and safety of employees.

Expected hourly range:

$29.55 - $34.00

The hourly range displayed is the minimum and maximum hourly rate for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role. Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
