Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Actively involved in Performance Test Engineering activities for the Enterprise Perform a variety of performance capabilities ranging all the way from NFR collection, down to performance test scripting, test execution, monitoring, analysis, engineering, triage, and results reporting Requirements: A minimum of 7-15 years in Performance Testing Skilled in performance testing tools, methodologies, and deliverables Experience leading work efforts in all aspects of performance testing including requirements, planning, complex scripting, test harness design, test execution, results analysis Exhibits triage ownership/leadership ability Ability to own issue resolution, direct triage, drive participation and discussion, execute crisp and effective communications, strong organizational skills Solid understanding of software development and architecture concepts (.NET, Java/JEE, code review, code analysis, architectural/enterprise integration patterns, 3-tier architecture) Proficient in Python Programming and understanding of data types, control flow and functions Experience proactively leading triages and driving to solutions Scripting in VUGen (Web HTTP/HTML Protocol), Java Protocol Analytical abilities with heap and thread dumps Solid understanding of software development and architecture Java/.NET Expertise in identifying performance bottlenecks and understanding end-to-end web performance metrics Experience with monitoring and profiling tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWR reports to monitor, gather, and report application performance on Windows or Linux systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Client LoadRunner Python Splunk Enterprise LoadRunner (Performance Center) Dynatrace Requirements gathering Desired skills: Parasoft/CA Virtualize/iTKO LISA (Service virtualization) Container Technology - Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift Enterprise Integration Patterns SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) Linux (RHEL) IBM MQ Oracle and OEM/AWR SQL Developer or TOAD Cassandra and DevCenter/OpsCenter WebSphere, Jboss, or Apache Tomcat WireShark or comparable network packet analysis tool IBM Support Assistant Workbench tools IBM PMAT (Pattern Modeling and Analysis Tool) IBM TMDA (Thread and Monitor Dump Analyzer) IBM Memory Analyzer Troubleshooting/Triage/Extended Analysis Javacore/thread dump analysis Heap dump analysis GC (Garbage Collection) analysis and JVM tuning/optimization Code review and optimization Resiliency Analysis Call Pattern Analysis Pay Range: $60.24-$68.24 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
