Optum has provided comprehensive behavioral services in San Diego County (CA) since 1997. We have worked in close partnership with the County to establish quality improvement initiatives based on the County's priorities. In partnership with County Leadership we have been able to achieve savings through creative partnerships with community partners and providers to promote member access; use of therapy models to help individuals achieve their goals and actively identify members with longer-term psychiatric needs; and, the referral of individuals with more intense needs to the most appropriate resources. Optum delivers a wide array of services in San Diego County, including: Access and Crisis Line; Utilization Management; Clinical review and authorization processes facilitating prompt payment to providers; Provider network development and management; and, decision support reporting and analysis. We have supported community efforts to assist in suicide prevention by providing training in Mental Health First Aid; Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR); and, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills. We provide clinical oversight of the Treatment Evaluation Resource Management (TERM) network to improve the quality and appropriateness of mental health services to children and families served by the County's Child Welfare and Juvenile Probation systems; and, in partnership with the County we operate a 24-hour toll-free line as an access point in Anti-Stigma campaigns. In addition, at the Community Transition Center (CTC) Optum has staff co-located with the County's Probation Department to increase care coordination and community supports to prevent recidivism. In 2014, CTC received the National Association of Counties (NACo) Public Safety Award for the category of 'Criminal Justice and Public Safety'.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage check run procedures, including reporting, tax returns, and stakeholder communication
* Oversee vendor management, accounts receivable/payable, and related research and reporting
* Lead or support project scope development, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder input
* Identify and address scope misalignments, engaging appropriate resources and stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with governance methodologies (e.g., RSA, Agile, Waterfall) for scope and approvals
* Monitor scope requirements, dependencies, and potential gaps throughout the project lifecycle
* Implement change management processes to support effective project execution and control
* Analyze and present operational and reporting data, providing insights and recommendations
* Support reporting intake and development, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of issues
* Collaborate with Finance and Data Analysts, managing reporting tools and evaluating data requests
* Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs

Required Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED or 1+ years of reporting experience
* 1+ years of experience in analytical research for decision support
* Knowledge of Project Management principles
* Intermediate to Advance in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, PDF
* Position requires access to the following electronic applications which include Protected Health Information: CCBH, SmartCare, SQL Server, various other databases

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable
