Summary of Position The (Contractor) Staff Accountant is a member of the Accounting and Finance team working with the accounting systems to complete general accounting responsibilities. This position will be responsible for the monthly close cycle, account reconciliations, general ledger entries and researching/explaining variances. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Essential Functions Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.). Review daily inventory reports for exceptions and resolve. Update various zero cost and unit of measurement reports. Fixed Asset creation and CIP updates. Monthly depreciation and fixed asset schedules in Sage database. Communicate with project managers and update capitalization status. Month end balance sheet reconciliations. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports. Analyze and prepare profit and loss statements for managers Requirements Associate's degree in accounting or a related field or completion of 4 college-level Accounting courses required. 1 or more years of relevant accounting experience Ability to work independently and with others to accomplish goals and priorities. Proficient skills with Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with Sage a plus. High level of energy and regular, consistent attendance. Working Conditions: This position will work in typical office conditions with extensive time using computer equipment. Close attention to detail required. Willingness to work in a team-based environment. Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require. May be required to sit or stand for long periods of 8+ hours a day while performing duties. Must possess good hand-eye coordination; close attention to detail is required. Willingness to complete safety training within allotted timeframes, and work in a team-based environment. The position deals with many deadlines. Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require.
