On-Campus Adjunct Instructor - Early Childhood Development

The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is looking for an Adjunct Instructor to teach on-site for our Education program during the second eight-week term starting October 27th, 2025. You will report to our Associate Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education.

The following courses are available to teach:

• DEV126: Precursors of Academic Skills
  • Tuesday 11 am - 12:15 pm and Thursday 8:00 am - 9:15 am

What you'll do:

• Deliver in-person instruction aligned with course goals and SNHU standards.
• Facilitate discussions and activities that connect theory to practice in early childhood education.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate with students and support their academic success.
• Collaborate with department staff to ensure course continuity and quality.
• Use Brightspace (the Learning Management System) to support the course

What we're looking for:

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Teaching or a related field.
• 2 + years of experience supporting the development of young children in an educational setting and an understanding of developmental theory, emerging literacy practices, and children's literature.
