DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Program Specialist 1, your duties will involve providing technical assistance to contract providers and agency staff to include program planning, development, and implementation. This professional is responsible for Quality Management to include maintaining and tracking data and reporting results to stakeholders. You will be expected to review and approve incident reports along with analyzing data, developing reports and reporting trends to staff and providers. This position performs sampling duties and tracks Independent Monitoring for Quality (IM4Q) activities, coordinates findings, approves consideration action items and participates in quarterly regional meetings. You will have the opportunity to perform community outreach through collaborative meetings, developing a quarterly newsletter and planning outreach activities. Additional duties:
- Develop policies and procedures in accordance with the Office of Developmental Program's Bulletins, Announcements and Operating Agreement
- Train the Supports Coordination Organization regarding new and revised policies and procedures
- Monitor and oversee the process of Individual Support Plan development in HCSIS
- Assist providers with claims resolution or billing issues
- Participate in the Office of Developmental Program's Academies and the implementation of all information provided at them
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch or 7:00 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Thursday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Ridgway, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cameron-Elk County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cameron-Elk County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
