Temple University's Athletics Department is searching for an Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach .

Salary Grade: A66

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach, the Assistant Coach helps develop a Division I Women's Lacrosse program that is competitive. The main role of the Assistant Coach is to teach student-athletes the sport of Women's Lacrosse. The Assistant Coach will assist with fundamental skills, lead practices and meetings from Monday through Friday, and support preparation for competitions.

The Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach supports the Head Coach by providing leadership and integrity to the program established by the Head Coach. This includes, but is not limited to, creating, planning, organizing, motivating, communicating, and managing aspects related to recruiting, practices, competitions, student-athletes, volunteer coaches, and booster clubs. The Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach is expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values of the University, the Department, and the sport, both on and off the field. The Assistant Coach must be familiar with and follow NCAA regulations governing their sport, as well as NCAA and conference policies on recruiting, eligibility, ethical standards, playing seasons, and extra benefits. The Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of previous Lacrosse experience as a collegiate coach and/or collegiate student-athlete. Experience administering Division I NCAA rules. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:

  • NCAA Division I experience.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and allocating a budget.

  • Demonstrated experience fundraising towards the achievement of program goals.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Software including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Ability to assist with budgeting, scheduling, meal planning, coaching, recruiting, scouting, and purchasing and caring for equipment.

  • Ability to implement policies and guidelines for all Women's Lacrosse personnel and student-athletes.

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated problem solving, strong leadership, and team-building skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to work a highly variable schedule including nights and weekends.

  • Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
