Neurodiagnostic Technologist 1 Job Responsibilities:



  • Writes a comprehensive patient history by gathering appropriate information from patients, patients' records and/or family members to include, but not be limited to, seizure types, date of last seizure and other neurological symptomatology and medications as documented in patients' charts.
  • Conducts procedures at Inova Health System affiliated hospitals as requested. Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of patients at all times.
  • Performs routine, ambulatory, neonatal exams, long-term video electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potentials, SPECT scans, WADA's and Tilt table with video EEGs.
  • Conducts Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential studies by utilizing knowledge of audiology instrumentation and pattern recognition as well as Visual Evoked Potential studies.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Basic Life Support; Eligible for and successful completion of the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation EEG board examination with the achievement as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG T), must be obtained within two years of hire
  • Licensure: None required
  • Certification: None required
  • Experience: High School diploma or equivalent
