This model is currently being implemented by many States nationwide.
  • Rhode Island successfully launched its CCBHC program on October 1, 2024 with eight clinics located throughout the State. This is a multi-State agency initiative led by the RI Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) which is also the State's Medicaid authority, the RI Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals (BHDDH), and the RI Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCFY).

  • Outreach & Engagement : Coordination with State, provider, and community partners to increase community awareness and clinically appropriate utilization of CCBHC services; facilitation of multi-stakeholder meetings.
  • Planning & Goal Setting : Defining project scopes, setting clear objectives, and creating long-term and short-term plans with milestones and deadlines.
  • Resource Management : Identifying necessary project resources, including the State staff, consulting partners, or other individuals who are responsible, accountable, informed, and consulted (in alignment with the RACI model) for different project components.
  • Scheduling & Task Management : Creating project schedules and work plans, delegating tasks to team members, and monitoring progress against deadlines.
  • Risk Management : Proactively identifying and elevating potential risks to the Program Director and developing strategies to mitigate them, preventing issues from derailing the project.
  • Communication : Maintaining clear and consistent communication with all members of the CCBHC State Interagency Team, providers, and other project partners, providing updates and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
