JOB LOCATIONS Growing Child Pediatrics at Zebulon - 116 East Horton St - Zebulon, NC We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Growing Child Pediatrics at Zebulon community-based practice locatedin Zebulon, NC. We are seeking an individual with general pediatric experience and excellent communication and clinical skills who can work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team. The Duke Growing Child Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient care services to patients from birth to 21 years of age under the supervision of the Duke Growing Child Pediatrics physicians. The Nurse Practitioner performs physical exams, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies, professional consultations, collects and documents data, and prescribes appropriate interventions and medications in order to coordinate patient care. Explains the necessity, nature, preparation and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic services to the patient and/or family. Primary commitment will be for eight direct patient care sessions per week. Two sessions per week are administrative non-patient care activities. Weekend Urgent Care sessions at the Growing Child Pediatrics at Knightdale location responsibility consists of a minimum of six weekends per year dependent on business need. Session includes evaluating and treating newborn, well, sick and urgent care patients on Saturdays from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Prefer 1+ years of experienceas a NP and/or RNin a primary pediatrics clinical setting. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
