Job Title: Reclaim Operator


Classification:Hourly


Reports To: Production Supervisor


Department: Reprocessing



Summary of Job


The Reclaim Machine Operator is responsible for controlling and managing the reprocessing equipment used in the manufacturing process. Reclaim Operators have to be able to deal with the stress of managing multiple tasks at once and prioritizing tasks based on the situation at hand. They may be trained on multiple pieces of machinery to enhance their knowledge of the facility's operations.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities




  • Manage controls and setting required to run equipment used in the production process.
  • Monitor and evaluate product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Report on production totals at the end of your shift, completing all paperwork expected.
  • Feed material into the grinder through your shift and demonstrate a general understanding of the grinding portion of the process.
  • Communicate with supervisors and coworkers on any issues that arise during your shift.
  • Maintain highest safety standards and perform required duties in emergency situations.
  • Wear personal protective equipment in all designated areas.
  • Problem solve with team members on processes to eliminate scrap and increase production.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and operational decisions as to maintain production levels consistent with daily goal of material expected.

  • Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements

Environment



  • Exposure to moving equipment
  • Inside work
  • Heat may exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Humidity may exceed 80%
  • Noise may exceed 85dB+



Physical Characteristics



  • Frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, up to 75%
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Occasional typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice- assisted as needed.



Position Type



  • Full time
  • Continental Schedule, (6AM-6PM, 12 hours per day)
  • Available upon business demand



Education and Experience



  • High School diploma or equivalent required


  • Minimum 2 years in manufacturing preferred.
