Panorama's Independent Living Services department is hiring an Urgent Response Aide!

This position provides support and resources to residents during unusual or emergency situations. This includes providing first aid and CPR as appropriate, communicating or coordinating with emergency responders and internal departments, disaster response, supporting campus security and maintaining the SARA emergency alert system.

This is a part time position working Thursday from 5:00pm-9:00pm, Friday/Saturday from 7:00am- 7:00pm.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responds quickly and professionally to all Situational Awareness and Response Assistant (SARA) emergency alert activations, off-hook and pull-cord alerts, as well as phone and in-person requests for emergency assistance on campus. Complete house call reports for each visit as required.
  • Provides support, First Aid, CPR, and care coordination for emergency incidents on campus. Summon community emergency responders when warranted
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the SARA emergency alert system, pull-cords, and telephone off-hook function. Assists with trouble-shooting the SARA emergency alert system. Change SARA pendant batteries and troubleshoot pendant issues and escalate as needed.
  • Conduct routine welfare visits as scheduled and requested.
  • Communicates with community colleagues, internal departments, and involved support networks to ensure comprehensive follow-up of an emergency incident.
  • Performs scheduled security vehicle patrols and reports any suspicious activity to campus security and/or law enforcement. Completes daily reports.
  • Provides administrative support to Independent Living Service as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to successfully navigate Microsoft Office required
  • Experience or a in a caregiving, healthcare or emergency response role preferred.
