ABOUT THE JOB:

Reporting to the Divisional Finance Vice President, this role requires a combination of strong individual contributions, the ability to work across cross-functional teams both within their Division and across the organization, and strong financial and analytical capabilities. The Divisional Financial Manager is responsible for supporting Divisional Management and Leadership team with key reporting and analysis to help drive outstanding results, as well as mentoring and organizing the Divisional Financial Analysts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Support P&L owners and Divisional Finance VP/GMs/VPs with region specific analysis and ad hoc requests analytics to proactively provide strategic input for commercial and operational activities

    • E.g. S&OP process, sales contests, sales performance management, VAPS analysis on penetration and pricing, KPI tracking and development


  • Assist with review of transactional data to correct issues and identify process breakdowns and improvements
  • Work to identify and resolve issues on Trucking and Sitework/Service margins, and billings issues
  • Complete month end activities in a timely manner, reviewing field entries for validity and submitting to accounting/finance personnel
  • Investigate monthly financial results and business metrics and consolidate variances drivers for Divisional Finance VP
  • Partner with P&L owners to ensure optimal capital allocation to projects that drive accretive return on invested capital
  • Provide analysis to support improvement of divisional/regional margins
  • Identify and understand variance reporting and analysis and propose corrective actions to the Divisional Finance VP
  • P&L review, along with submittal of correcting JEs
  • Manage forecast and annual budget process
  • Sales forecasts (including deliveries and returns etc.)
  • Conduct training of field resources
  • Partner with Divisional leadership in a strategic context e.g. supporting top management in developing business plans
  • Coordinate, create, and update materials for periodic presentations
  • Support and transition consolidated forecast through S&OP optimization project
  • Drive AR collections by creating easily consumed content for the field management to action in improving collections timely and correcting billing errors

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:



  • Minimum Required Education level: Bachelor Degree
  • Preferred Education Level: Bachelor Degree
  • Years of related experience: 10+ years of corporate accounting, finance, budgeting and planning



Skills & Systems:



  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills and comprehension of financial reporting
  • Preferred Skills: Experience working with Oracle EPM a plus


Travel Requirements:



  • 10-20%
