Overview

TRC is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Consultant in Wisconsin to report to the Milwaukee or Madison office. The position requires a strong technical EHS service background, project management skills and experience, a solid reputation for building and maintaining key client relationships and a strong interest in business development. The position will also focus on providing EHS compliance consulting and helping clients to improve their performance to their applicable EHS goals and objectives. This position will support our national platform to deliver EHS Compliance Programs and Performance Improvement Services.


Responsibilities

  • This new hire will be a seller/doer, who will be expected to bring in new clients/projects to TRC, with a focus on Environmental compliance services, with safety is a plus. Sales expectations (bookings) are $1M Net Revenue annually, and a utilization of 50% is expected.
  • Assisting a variety of industrial operations including power, chemical, food and beverage, aerospace, solid waste, forest products, rail transportation, oil and gas, retail, etc.
  • Work with client account managers/teams to meet client expectations and increase the services provided to our clients.
  • Develop client relationships, management and growth.
  • Manage and support development and implementation of EHS Management Systems, compliance assessments and audits to ensure effective risk control and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience to manage, and monitor project budgets, scopes, project deliverable quality, and schedules; demonstrate the ability to lead and manage EHS compliance projects.
  • Perform and manage environmental compliance duties including, but not limited to: air permitting, SPCC planning, NPDES/storm water permitting and reporting, SWPPP, EPCRA Tier II and TRI reporting, wastewater permitting and hazardous waste storage/disposal.
  • Development and implementation of written health and safety programs (e.g., hazard communication, lockout tagout, confined space, fall protection, PPE, electrical safety, hot work, machine guarding, etc.), a plus.
  • Prepare client deliverables.
  • Travel to client sites for meetings, as needed.
  • Maintain a billable utilization target.
  • Travel (typically <25%) to client sites, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, science or engineering related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience with EHS experience, leading and managing complex EHS projects with various manufacturing environments across targeted industries.
  • Experienced in business development and working with key account teams to increase revenue.
  • An interest in business development.
  • Interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Have a consultative demeanor and ability to work with clients and the ability to identify and offer solutions when needed.
  • Have strong communications and technical EHS skills both written and oral.
  • Work as a team player to support our national service platform.
  • Experience organizing and conducting EHS audits.
  • Experienced in developing and delivering EHS compliance programs.
  • Experienced in performing EHS due diligence assessments.
  • Experienced in designing, developing and implementing safety and environmental management systems (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).
  • Self-motivated and results oriented, with a positive, "can do" attitude.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle records check.
  • Valid Driver-s License is required
  • Must be able to commute to project sites as needed

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
