As a Project Manager for Optical Communication Systems Manufacturing at Nokia, you will play a critical role in leading the production ramp-up initiatives across multiple domestic manufacturing sites. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and site leadership, ensuring alignment and seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise will drive capital expenditure oversight and equipment lifecycle management, enabling our manufacturing facilities to meet growing demand efficiently. You will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment where innovation and collaboration are key. With a focus on continuous improvement and risk management, you'll help the team navigate challenges and seize opportunities within the high-tech manufacturing landscape. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver cutting-edge optical communication systems, positioning Nokia as a leader in the industry.


  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans to ensure successful production ramp-up across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Oversee and track capital expenditures, aligning investments with budgetary goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics and timelines for the delivery, installation, and operational integration of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication between engineering, operations, procurement, and site leadership teams.
  • Identify project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and achieve success.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of project milestones, expenditures, and performance metrics for senior leadership review.
  • Lead regular project status meetings, providing updates and actionable insights to diverse teams across geographic locations.
  • Support the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement methodologies within the project management framework.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or technology sectors
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

It would be nice if you also had:

  • PMP or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with optical communication systems or related high-tech manufacturing
  • Prior knowledge of Agile (system), Jira & Confluence
