About This Role:

In this exciting new role, you'll be the go-to expert for understanding and communicating the performance of our digital media investments at Walmart and Sam's Club. You'll dive deep into data from various sources - including our search agency, Walmart Connect, Luminate, and Nielsen - to uncover actionable insights that optimize our online presence and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).

This isn't your typical trade planning role. You'll be focused on media measurement, analyzing the effectiveness of our search strategies, content, and overall digital shelf presence. You'll work closely with our Customer Marketing team to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that inform internal stakeholders and drive strategic decisions.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the Storyteller: Transform raw data into compelling stories that explain our digital media performance at Walmart and Sam's Club, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Unpack the Data: Work with data from our search agency, Walmart Connect, Luminate, and Nielsen to understand the performance of our search strategy, identify optimization opportunities, and improve ROAS.
  • Drive Strategic Decisions: Provide data-driven recommendations to the Customer Marketing team to optimize media spend, improve content effectiveness, and enhance our overall digital shelf presence.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Partner with the Customer Marketing team, E-Commerce Capabilities team, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between insights and in-market plans.
  • Own Digital Performance Analytics: Analyze and report on Walmart & Sam's digital performance across the full e-Commerce toolkit (Search, Content, Assortment, Navigation, Ratings & Reviews, and Media).
  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with Sales, Shopper Insights, and Customer Marketing Planners to ensure insights inform customer growth strategies. Influence Walmart and Sam's digital priorities by connecting business needs with measurable outcomes. Shape long-term omnichannel strategies grounded in performance analytics.

What You'll Bring:

  • A passion for data, analytics, and storytelling
  • A strong understanding of digital media metrics, including ROAS and ROI
  • Experience working with digital advertising platforms and analytics tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience using analytical skills with various data sources to provide storytelling and use data to drive business decisions (e.g. Luminate, Nielsen, IRI, CPM, sales data)
  • Must be proficient in software packages (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) & internal systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in matrixed/cross-functional organizations
  • Experience with Walmart Connect

We're committed to a hybrid work model that provides flexibility while ensuring we maintain a strong sense of community. The expectation for this role will be to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules. Monday and Friday are flexible regarding your work location.

Additional Considerations:

International relocation (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $81000.00 - $121700.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Beyond base salary, General Mills offers a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall well-being.
