15235BR FTE: 0.8 Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation Compensation: $42.19+ Hours Per Week: 32 Weekends: Some Benefit Eligible Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM with every 3^rd weekend and holiday rotation The lactation consultant provides breastfeeding patients and families with the information, education, skills and clinical treatments essential to the successful attainment of their breastfeeding goals. Identifies treatment plans for the management of lactation problems, acts as a breastfeeding resource for medical and nursing staff, and promotes breastfeeding as the preferred feeding method for newborns. Education: Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) Will consider other nursing degrees on an individual basis Experience: Experience working with mothers and newborns in a hospital, clinic, or community setting Certification/License: Registered nurse Current Wisconsin RN license IBCLC or CLC with a commitment to obtain IBCLC in first year of hire Other: Specialized knowledge and clinical expertise in breastfeeding and human lactation Must be available the first 2 weeks of employment on the day shift to attend orientation
