The Position

Job Summary:

As a Supervisor for Replenishment Dispatch in our global distribution center based in Indianapolis, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely dispatch of goods and materials to our Roche affiliates worldwide. You will lead a team of dispatch operators and/or on-site logistics partners, ensuring adherence to shipping schedules, optimizing transportation routes, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Your Opportunity:

  • Supervises daily activities of personnel within the immediate work group to ensure compliance with guidelines and company policies/procedures.

  • Train, develop, and mentor direct reports.

  • Manage process flow and efficiencies, and work to develop and implement changes or new processes to increase efficiency.

  • Supervise and lead a team, including on-site logistics partners, involved in material handling activities related to planning and scheduling dispatch activities, taking into account order priorities, and transportation capacity.

  • Oversee and optimize the utilization of resources, equipment, and technology to enhance operational efficiency and productivity across multiple shifts.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate corrective actions.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance or disciplinary issues as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support organizational goals.

  • Assist other supervisors in different shifts/buildings as required.

  • Facilitate operations imperative to the success of our customers who rely on Roche products and supplies by helping the product get out the door.

  • Manage vital Temperature monitor process for all outbound international orders to affiliates across the globe to ensure compliance within our MQMS quality guidelines.

  • Communicate and interact with freight forwarders and their representatives to ensure the best possible relationship for smoothness.

  • Troubleshoot any problems that may arise during the dispatch process for both Roche and the forwarder.

  • Work in a team environment of highly trained and educated specialists in their roles to address any issues in the global supply chain within Roche Diagnostics.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years related experience or in the process of obtaining a degree

  • 2 years of previous responsibility for directly or indirectly leading or managing people

  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including dispatch processes, domestic and international transportation management, and Roche affiliate delivery requirements.

  • Familiarity with global supply chain practices, transportation regulations, and international and domestic shipping procedures.

  • Proficiency in using dispatch software and systems, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing dispatch processes and improving customer satisfaction.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

The expected salary range for this position is $61,300 to $113,800.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
