Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrols in Morrisville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to assist with security-related concerns, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and monitor for unusual activity.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and/or directing visitors as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies or drills by following established protocols and providing guidance as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
