DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will play a vital role in delivering driver licensing services to the public. Your duties will include warmly welcoming customers, verifying their identification, assisting with application processes, and inputting data into online licensing systems. You will also provide necessary forms and informational brochures tailored to each customer's needs. A key aspect of your role will involve administering standardized knowledge tests to evaluate applicants' understanding of motor vehicle laws, as well as conducting vision screenings with a telebinocular instrument. Accuracy in data entry, addressing public inquiries, and ensuring customers are informed about available services, including REAL ID requirements and various licensing options, will be essential to your success.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime and travel when needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
