The Equipment Technology and Services (ET&S) business platform for Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a strategic and dynamic Senior Cost Accounting Analyst in Wichita, KS, to drive financial excellence and operational efficiency within our global operations. This position plays a vital role in shaping the manufacturing organization's core competency, ensuring accurate financial reporting, fostering a culture of value creation, and promoting continuous improvement, all while applying Principle Based Management (PBM).

Our Team

You will join a high-performing team within ET&S that partners closely with operational leaders across supply chain, manufacturing, and finance functions. The team emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and a relentless focus on aligning financial processes with broader business goals. You will be positioned as a key contributor, empowering decision-makers with accurate cost data and actionable insights to improve operations on a global scale.

What You Will Do

  • Own and manage cost accounting activities, including standard costing, allocations, variance analysis, and margin analysis, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Leverage financial data to identify key insights and clearly communicate results through effective storytelling to support informed business decisions
  • Collaborate with business partners to enforce process discipline and accountability for accurate financial results
  • Act as a decision-maker by seeking and sharing knowledge, respectfully challenging the status quo, and driving operational improvements
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement and problem-solving
  • Promote and reinforce the PBM culture by embodying and applying the company's Guiding Principles

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Expertise in accounting frameworks, financial analysis, or related fields
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect data and processes to business goals
  • Confident communicator, skilled at turning complex financial concepts to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated collaborative mindset with experience building effective working relationships to close gaps and solve problems
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, data manipulation, and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience adapting work processes and priorities in response to changing team goals, business needs, or organizational direction

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in cost, project, or inventory accounting or related roles
  • Proficiency in large ERP and integrated accounting systems
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish
