Job Title: Material Handler Specialist - Receiving Department

Location:4435 Thompson Mill Road, Buford, GA 30519
Department: Warehouse / Distribution Center - Receiving
Shift: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM until shift completion

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Material Handler Specialist to join our Receiving Department at our Buford, GA Distribution Center. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a company that offers a unique blend of a fun, fast-paced, and professional work environment.

As a Receiving Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of inbound materials. You will be responsible for operating warehouse equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting quality assurance processes, and assisting in team coverage and reconciliation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform unit and case picking of inbound materials
  • Execute goods-in procedures to maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Conduct order audits to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Review product orders and correct any discrepancies
  • Perform reconciliation of inventory and shipment records
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in received shipments
  • Process Proof of Delivery (POD) chargebacks and related documentation
  • Provide coverage for team members within the Receiving Department as needed
  • Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assist in training new associates as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Certified in reach truck/equipment operation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment
  • 6 months of McKesson experience (internal candidates only)
  • Experience training others in warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with RF scanners, automation systems, and computer software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Demonstrated alignment with McKesson ICARE principles and values

Internal Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of McKesson MMS experience
  • Must be in good standing with no more than a verbal warning for attendance
  • No disciplinary actions above a verbal warning in the past 6 months
  • No safety violations in the last 90 days
  • Demonstrates i2CARE and ILEAD principles
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and in other departments as needed

Physical Demands

  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles per shift
  • Lift 20-50 lbs repetitively; team lifts for heavier items
  • Frequent standing, stooping, bending, and walking
  • May work extended hours as needed
  • Visual acuity for reading fine print and color differentiation
  • Ability to hear normal voice sounds
  • Finger dexterity for operating equipment

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $16.94 - $28.24
