JOB SUMMARY: The Saw Operator 2 is responsible for the programming, set up, and operation of various saws. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Load and unload saw with an overhead crane or by hand, based upon size of slabs or stone being cut Read production tickets to determine work to be completed Review work to ensure it meets production ticket specifications before and after cutting Index the saw blade to the correct size and dimension based upon the stone being cut Apply patterns and layout stone to best utilize raw stone material Load pre-programmed profiles from the network Perform operator level calibration and alignment of the saw Create cutting and profile programs for all of the saws from the shop tickets and network files using AutoCAD Monitor the saw during operation to make adjustments and corrections as needed Apply general knowledge of stone tolerances to repair, mill, apply angle and shape cuts, specific tooling and other detailed work that is required per customer specifications Label all cut pieces with the correct job ID number Scan bar code on production tickets to record work performed in JDE system SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Must obtain forklift certification (training & certification provided by Coldspring for all employees who are required to operate a forklift) General knowledge of software used to program CNC, milling, and/or turning machines, ie 3D modeling, CAD and/or CAM software Understand general and on job-specific stone colors, characteristics, quality and appearance criteria to meet job requirements Ability to calculate materials needs to meet job requirements and transfer them to the most efficient use of raw materials Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production Mechanically inclined as well as having general math skills Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed MAKE YOUR MARK AND MAKE IT LAST If you are an individual with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process, or are limited in the ability or unable to access or use this online application process and need an alternative method for applying, please call or text Karissa Lintgen at 320-685-4681 or email Karissa at klintgen@coldspringusa.com for assistance.
