This is an hourly position with Local 475.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be conversant with 480/220 volts AC used in pumps, starters and solenoids, etc. and be able to use multimeters and amp probes to check such systems.
  • Must be proficient in the following trade skills:

    • Stick Welding or Tig Welding
    • Brazing
    • Plumbing


  • Must be able to read mechanical and electrical blueprints and fabricate from prints.
  • Must be able to use cutting and milling machines.
  • Must know pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to repair surface media tumbling machinery.
  • Ability to repair exhaust / extraction systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Servo-Drives and DC power supplies.
  • Must be capable of running forklift.
  • Calibration of plasma and vacuum console gauges.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to analyze mechanical and/or design problems as related to the process.


  • Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing
  • 5-7 years related equipment maintenance experience required


MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  1. Minimum lift floor to waist - 25 pounds



  1. Minimum lift waist to shoulder level - 25 pounds



  1. Minimum pull - 40 pounds



WORK ENVIRONMENT


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moderate cold and moderate heat, loud noise, fumes, and moving equipment in the production floor environment.
