Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all material flow and transactions into and out of the assigned department in order to promote efficiency and achieve schedule attainment. In addition, performs and documents the testing of the products to ensure conformance to specifications using various testing equipment.

Essential Functions
  • Works with the Production Planning team and Production Supervisor to execute a detailed build schedule that assures attainment of customer requirements.
  • Monitors build schedules and ensures that all required materials/components have been requested, are available and delivered. Informs Production Supervisor of any shortcoming that adversely impact production.
  • Based on production schedule, coordinates the timely printing of labels for work orders. Reviews labels for compliance with established standards and ensures an adequate number are available to support the scheduled build.
  • Tracks work-in-progress (WIP) from start of work order to completion of build to include paperwork and movement of product through the process and in Oracle.
  • Creates and coordinates DMR and MRB activities related to product built by the assigned department.
  • Coordinates, executes and performs Line Clearance / Line Load per SOP-654.
  • Inspects, tests and documents Tin to Wire products for compliance to specifications using testing instruments and captures results on QC-1442.
  • Inspects, performs and documents Leak Test of products for compliance to specifications using testing instruments and captures results on QC-1443.
  • Fill out required fields in Oracle DHR and perform Oracle move transactions for the Manufacturing DHR review per SOP-1007.
  • Executes data-entry activities in Microsoft Excel to track production performance.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and provides constructive feedback.
  • Cross-trains into other functional roles as required and may include taking over responsibilities for Trainer and/or Group Leader.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to production scheduling desirable. Experience with use of mechanical test equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communications skills including ability to review details, assess a situation and communicate same to the production team in English
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills preferred
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of email, Internet, Microsoft Excel, Agile and Oracle
  • Demonstrates a broad knowledge of all operational procedures within the department/line
  • Self-motivated and detailed oriented
  • Capable of reading and understanding work orders and production schedules
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds
  • Able to wear proper attire/clothing and personal protective equipment/clothing as required within controlled manufacturing areas
