Security Professional - Cultural Patrol

As a Security Professional - Cultural Patrol in New Haven, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent cultural institution, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible throughout the location. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas using a company vehicle. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Pay Rate: $19.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 3pm - 11pm

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Assist with crowd management and visitor guidance during events or peak times as needed.
• Work collaboratively with site staff and local authorities as required to support a secure environment for all occupants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
