This role will supervise 2 direct reports and report to the Assistant Controller. This is a work in-office position in our Dunmore, Pennsylvania office.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and payments are all processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and provide guidance to accounts payable staff.
  • Monitor and analyze the accounts payable process and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and receiving, to ensure timely and accurate processing and payments to vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, reconcile vendor statements and resolve any disputes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure the vendor files are accurate and maintained.
  • Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Special projects and other tasks that may be assigned as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

  • Associate's Degree (Accounting/Finance or Business preferred)
  • Minimum of five years experience in Accounts Payable
  • Experience in managing a team of accounts payable professionals
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and principles
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
