Job Title: Performance Tester Location(s): Denver, CO Job Description: We are looking for a Lead Test Engineer with a strong focus on Performance Testing and additional expertise in Test Automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools like JMeter and LoadRunner, and a proven track record of leading performance testing engagements. This role requires a deep understanding of performance engineering principles, including load modeling, test strategy, and log analysis. Familiarity with automation tools such as Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities: Performance Testing (Primary Focus): Define and drive performance test strategy, scope, and approach for complex systems. Lead performance testing efforts using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar. Conduct load modeling, capacity planning, and workload distribution analysis. Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide tuning recommendations. Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues. Review and interpret application, server, and database logs to support root cause analysis. Mentor and guide performance test engineers and ensure best practices are followed. Automation Testing (Secondary Focus): Design and implement automation frameworks for API and UI testing. Develop and maintain test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure test coverage across releases. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 4 years in performance testing. Strong hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools. Proficient in performance test planning, execution, and analysis. Experience in log analysis, bottleneck identification, and performance tuning. Working knowledge of Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured for automation testing. Strong understanding of testing concepts, SDLC/STLC, and QA methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
